Reliable and safe detection of residual compounds traces in liquid sulfur samples.
Sulfur from extraction, refining and degassing may contain hydrogen sulfide (H2S): a hazardous and flammable gas that poses a safety risk during liquid sulfur storage and transport. Degassing help to reduce H2S and H2Sx levels, but a precise monitoring is essential. The REDshift IR Cell for liquid sulfur analysis enables accurate detection of those compounds even at a minimal trace levels. The IR cell keeps sulfur fluid at high and stable melting temperature, enabling consistent and high-quality FT-IR analysis.
Key Benefits
• Accuratedetection of contaminants, at mininum trace levels. • Suitable for raw or degassed sulfur samples. • Simple loading, unloading and cleaning. • Safe, reliable and easy to operate. • Fast and highly repeatable analysis.
Specifications
Cell material:
Stainless-Steel & Teflon
Windows:
ZnSe
Temp. Range:
50-150 °C* (up to 180°C)
How it works
Heat the cell on the baseplate pedestal for adequate time. Load the melted sulfur sample inside the IR cell and move it inside its baseplate located in the FT-IR sample compartment. Also in this position, the cell is continuously heated, granting low viscosity. FT-IR spectra analysis can take place. No IR cell alignment needed.
Accessories
THERMAL CONTAINER
Lightweight and ergonomic design for easy transfer of hot liquid sulfur cans from plant to laboratory (thermal pot wihtout eletrical parts).
HEATED THERMAL CONTAINER
Heated container that maintains up to 150°C for over an hour. Ideal for long-distance transfers of hot liquid sulfur cans. Provided with power plug and electric on/off button.
SAMPLES WITH KNOWN H2S CONCENTRATION
Samples with defined Hidrogen Sulfide level, ensuring reliable and reproducible control of your liquid sulfur analysis.
